 Buenos Aires is now the 2nd largest city in South America and provides a dynamic environment for students that want to learn medical Spanish in Argentina. The modern facilities of the hospitals provide an ideal environment for learning about the health system of Argentina. Shadowing is provided with all of our medical Spanish courses so that you can experience the day to day practice of a medical professional while gaining perspective on how medicine is practiced in one of the more developed countries in Latin America.
We offer two types of Medical Spanish courses in Buenos Aires. Both programs can start on any Monday. The first program is dedicated to introductory students. This allows all beginning speakers who are part of the medical establishment to study Spanish and shadow in a local hospital. Our secondary program is for intermediate to advanced speakers and requires a greater command of the language to cover more progressive concepts.
Introductory Medical Spanish in Buenos Aires:
This medical Spanish course provides an overview of vocabulary related to the human body and the medical field as well as procedures practiced by medical professionals. During the group instruction you will be provided with general Spanish knowledge at a beginner to elementary level, including but not limited to grammar structure and everyday vocabulary.
Private instruction will emphasize the Spanish related to the medical field. The goal of the medical Spanish course is for you to better interact with patients who only speak Spanish. The medical perspective will include everyday scenarios that take place in the medical field. You will be individually tested on your knowledge of the language as you progress.

Week 1 & 2:
9:00AM to 1:00PM Group Classes
1:30PM to 3:30PM Private Medical Instruction
Week 3 & 4:
9:00AM to 2:00PM Shadowing in Buenos Aires Hospital

Advanced Medical Spanish in Buenos Aires:
This medical Spanish course will cover advanced concepts related to communication in Spanish with patients as well as colleagues in your field. The medical course will also cover sanitation issues in Argentina and interactive practice of the language while shadowing at a hospital in Buenos Aires.
Students enrolled in the advanced medical course will practice everyday interview situations as well as discuss personal experiences. You will also discuss instructions used in the medical field. During general group courses you will comprehend and discuss literature in Spanish along with developing usage of correct punctuation.
Writing is emphasized through formal correspondence in letters and/or email. Proper structure and revision is adhered to for a comprehensive review of the subject being discussed. This can involve written instructions, responding to complaints, or a request for information.
