BOLIVIA CLIMATE
Due
to its wide range of elevation and geography, Bolivia has varied
climatic conditions. Puerto Suarez for example is known for its
stifling, humid heat, and Uyuni for its freezing cold and icy
winds. The eastern lowlands are tropical, warm and humid. The
Andes are quite temperate in the foothills with frigid conditions
at higher elevations. There is no ideal time to visit Bolivia.
Rainfall is heaviest between December and March. The rest of the
year Bolivia is slightly cold and it would be a good idea to carry
some warm clothing. Winters are dry but can get very cold at higher
elevations. The altitude at Curahuara and Turco is around 10,000
ft and many visitors need time to get used to the weather and
altitude.
