TRANSPORTATION

Air

The national airline is Lloyd Aereo Boliviano (LAB) with daily flights between Sucre, La Paz and Santa Cruz.

Train

The train service is excellent, first class has comfortable reserved seats, dining service, and other amenities. There are services to Potosí, Oruro and Tupiza. It is possible to travel by train to Chile, Argentina, and Brasil.

Taxis

Taxis in Bolivia are relatively cheap. Dont depend on taxi meters as only a few taxis are equipped with them. Determine the cost to your destination before hand and negotiate this price with the taxi driver before entering the taxi.

Bus

There are services to Potosi, Cochabamba, La Paz, and Santa Cruz, among other desitinations. Buses are very cheap but its normally quite crowded and traveling with luggage would be a nightmare. There are direct buses to Oruro, Tupiza and Tarija from the main terminal. Within the city there are several Micros that will help you get to your destination.
