WHAT TO BRING:
SA Monteverde
Monteverde has a climate that during parts of
the year can be rather wet and throughout most the year can be
classified as cool. The yearly average temperatures in Monteverde
will range from the mid 60's to the low 70's. Costa Rica does
have a dry season which also affects Monteverde. During this season
(from roughly the end of January through late April / early May)
the area is dry and warm.
Since much of the time in Monteverde you can
experience rain and cool temperatures you should plan accordingly.
Bring some type of light rain gear and some waterproof boots.
You should also bring light cotton clothing that can dry quickly
if it gets wet. During the days it can be comfortable, but nights
can get a little chilly, so bring something warmer as well.
Since
you are in a wonderful rainforest area, bring a camera, hiking
boots, a guide book, a flashlight, and if you are up for an overnighter
in the rainforest, bring camping gear.
