IMPERFECT VERBS

Of or being the tense of a verb that shows, usually in the past, an action or a condition as incomplete, continuous, or coincident with another action:

1. Cada día
2. Todos los días
3. Siempre...

It is necessary to use it in combination with the past, this is why general rules exist. We can summarize the uses of the imperfect in:

1. Narration
2. Description
3. Indirect communication...

Whenever we talk about the past, for example:

1. Eran las ocho de la mañana cuando mis amigos y yo íbamos hacia la playa. Estábamos preocupados porque no teníamos reservaciones en un hotel, pero cuando llegamos no fue difícil encontrar alojamiento porque en el hotel La Colina había espacio.
2. El hotel era muy grande, tenía más de cien habitaciones y tenía también dos piscinas. Era de color blanco y estaba decorado con muchas plantas que le daban vida.
3. El hotel era tan lindo que uno de mis amigos me dijo que lo que más le gustaba de la playa era el hotel.
