Rica is today recognized as one of the premier places in the world
to go surfing. The area around Tamarindo, is one of the most popular
areas to go surfing in Costa Rica. What is nice about this region
of Costa Rica is that there places to go for surfers of all skill
levels.
SA
Tamarindo Spanish Language School offers a great
Spanish & Surf Program. On Monday through Friday you will
participate in the Standard Group Spanish Classes. On the afternoons
and weekends you will have a chance to both take surfing lessons
and have the opportunity to surf some of the best areas of Costa
Rica.
 The
typical Spanish & Surf program runs for 2 weeks. During this
two week stretch you will receive 6 hours of surfing instruction
PLUS have a board during the entire two weeks. This program is
extremely popular. SA Tamarindo
makes use of some of the best surf instructors in the area.
For those that want a longer
program you have a couple of options:
- You can take a 3rd or 4th week of the program. Under this
option you still get board rental. Then on the 3rd and 4th weekend
you will also be transported outside of Tamarindo to surf some
of the best spots that Costa Rica has to offer. The cost for
each extra week (including trip & board rental) is $175
- If you prefer to be more independent after your initial 2
week Spanish & Surf course you can simply rent a board at
a great rate of $120 per week for as many weeks as you are at
the school.
