 The
city of Antigua has been, for many years, renowned center for
the study of Spanish as a Second language. The method called TOTAL
IMMERSION helps students learn faster, through private lessons
(from 4 to 8 hours daily), with a professional and experienced
teacher. The learning process is complemented by living with a
local family in whose home Spanish is the only means of communication.
At the Spanish language school the staff has
an experience of over 20 years and the directors were founders
of other accredited academies in Antigua. The school also has
a special interest in the preservation of the Spanish language
and Guatemalan handicrafts.
A Conscious Immersion Experience
 The
Spanish language school, in order to truly immerse its students
in the Guatemalan culture carefully chooses the families with
whom the students will live.
Those families provide the students with 3 daily
meals, except on Sundays. Living with a family then also gives
students the opportunity to taste delicious home cooked meals.
Other housing arrangements are also available to ensure the comfort
of students.
