Medical Spanish Course:
Costa Rica

Our medical Spanish course in Costa Rica is located in the San Jose suberb of Santo Domingo de Heredia. You will be 10 minutes from down town San Jose or Heredia in the opposite direction. We provide 3 different options for the medical Spanish course depending on your individual needs. Each progam will include general group classes as it is important to improve your overall Spanish level. You will also be provided with small group or private medical Spanish to increase your Spanish ability in the medical field. Each option offers varying levels of experience in the local hospital.

The San Jose area provides a great location for medical Spanish students as it is a modern city and is not extremely touristy. The lack of tourists provides for a great immersion experience since you will be less likely to use your native language in communicating which forces you to practice the Spanish language you are using.

The hospital in Costa Rica that hosts the afternoon shadowing and long term Medical internship is within walking distance from the Spanish school and has modern facilities due to its proximity in the the capital.

Our school will provide a certificate of completion based on the contact hours that you complete for each aspect of the gram.

Medical Spanish Course Options

Option #1:
This particular Medical Spanish course in Cost Rica includes general group courses with 4 lessons per day where you will improve your overall Spanish level. It will also provide 6 hours of medical Spanish in a small group where you can interact with other students at the school who want to learn medical Spanish. The program includes 2 afternoons shadowing in the local hospital. Specific start dates are given below for this particular program.

Option #2:
This medical Spanish course provides the same instruction as offered in the first option except you will have 6 private medical Spanish lesson in lieu of the 6 small group courses. The programs flexibility with private instruction for the medical Spanish allows you to start this program on any Monday.

Option #3 (Internship Program):
This option provides a 6 week medical Spanish internship in a Costa Rica hospital once the two week Spanish course is over. The 2 week medical Spanish course portion includes General Spanish Group classes with 4 lessons per day as well as 2 private lessons each day of medical Spanish.
