Language School Overview
 Our
partner Spanish language school (SA
Montevideo) is situated in the beautiful residential
area of Parque Rodo, well known for its quiet serenity and safety.
The Spanish language school is also a short distance from the
National Library and many restaurants, shops, bars, cafés
and a beautiful park. The Spanish language school itself is located
in an charming old house. about 5-10 minutes walking distance
from the historic centerof Montevideo. Close by you will also
find a sport center with a gym where you can play volleyball,
basketball, tennis and football. Providing many opportunities
for students to come in contact with the locals.

On the ground floor you will find the reception,
the administrative office, four large classrooms, a library, two
restrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, recreation room with television,
a terrace and a yard where students can spend their breaks or
meet after classes. The terrace will also be the place for meetings,
welcome receptions, and barbeques or Friday evenings. On the 2nd
floor the school has a student residence.
All the Spanish instructors at the Spanish language
school are college graduates who specialize in the teaching of
Spanish as a second language. They have many years of combined
experience and are ver y enthusiastic and friendly with their
Spanish language students. Weekly meetings are held with the Spanish
teachers and students to discuss their progress and answer any
questions. On a daily basis one of the instructors is available
for one-hour sessions to listen and discuss challenges with the
language.

Group
4 lessons Per Day: Group Spanish language course consisting
of four 55 min. lessons daily incorporating grammar, conversation,
practical application of Spanish. Groups of 3-5 students. Learn
Spanish in Montevideo
Group
6 lessons Per Day: Intensive Spanish course consisting
of six 55 min. lessons daily. Similar in structure to the 4 lesson
program in structure but with more focus on conversation and practical
application.Groups of 3-5 students.
Private
Spanish Classes: If you have very little time available
or have specialized language needs, you may prefer to concentrate
on Spanish in one-to-one tutoring sessions. We offer private classes
for 4 or 6 lessons a day. This course can be utilized to cover
specialized topics.
Combined
Program: This
Spanish program is designed especially for people who want to
reinforce what is being learned in the group classes, or who want
to work on specific vocabulary. 4 lessons per day in the group
setting followed by 1 hour per day of private classes.
Spanish
for Children: This course consists of three 55 miniute
classes which incorporate basic grammar, conversation, and educational
games. The minimum age is 8 years and the maximum is 15 years.
All students will need to be accompanied to Montevideo by an adult.
- Private bedroom with local host family.
- Private or shared room at the Spanish school
residence.
- Books, handouts, etc.
- Cultural activities/excursion (some have
a fee associated with them).
- Academic credit available.
Spanish classes begin every Monday of the year. Except when
Holiday's are on Monday.
