Transporation To Bocas del Toro Panama

There are a variety of ways to get to Bocas del Toro. Most of our clients find it most convenient to take a flight from Panama City.

By Airplane

In Panama it is possible to get a flight to Bocas del Toro from Panama City and David. Currently Aeroperlas and Mapiex Aero are the two carriers serving these routes. The amount of carriers servicing this route can change so check with your travel agent.

Round trip tickets run approximately $100. Make sure you are at the airport at least 1 hours prior to your departure. The ride will be less than an hour.

By Bus:

If taking a bus, take one that has a destination of Almimrante. Once in Almirante you will either take a marine taxi (30 minutes) or ferry (1 hour). Currently the ferry only runs a few days a week, so you will most likely take the inexpensive marine taxi.

From San Jose, Costa Rica

By Bus:

In San Jose you will need to take a bus to Sixaola. Once there take a bus or a taxi to Almirante. Once in Almirante you will either take a marine taxi (30 minutes) or ferry (1 hour). Currently the ferry only runs a few days a week, so you will most likely take the inexpensive marine taxi.
