The Spanish language school is located in a colonial building just minutes from the main square, the Plaza de Armas. The building also incorporates the Student House in a lovely setting with a sunny terrace.

Currently, the Spanish language program runs at three locations: the beautiful city of Cusco, the picturesque village of Urubamba (in the Sacred Valley of the Incas) and the Rainforest of MANU. Take advantage of studying at either or all three locations, each highlighting a different aspect of Peruvian culture. The Spanish language school Volunteer Program provides the unique opportunity to live and work in Peru while cultivating a superior level of Spanish proficiency.

Standard Program: Study Spanish for 4 lessons per day (6 students max per group). All classes will be in groups with a maximum 4 students per class, 20 lessons per week. Students will have highly structured grammar lessons, interactive activities, conversation and written exercises. Specific homework assignments are given daily and every student is evaluated and tested on a weekly basis.

Extra Options

Individual Language Training: This option is perfect for those who want something very intensive, or who need specialized instruction. The Individual Course uses the same methodology as the Group program. You have the choice of studying either 4 or 6 lessons per day.

RAINFOREST OF MANU PROGRAM

The Manu Biosphere is a protected area which still retains healthy populations of jaguar, tapir, anteater, black caiman, giant otter and 13 species of monkey. Its low human population and their continued use of traditional hunting techniques, means that generally animals are still unafraid of man.

URUBAMBA SPANISH PROGRAM

The Urubamba Spanish program maintains the high level of instruction, since all Spanish teachers rotate between the locations. In Urubamba, the teachers live with the students in the residence, offering the students many opportunities to practice Spanish.The lessons will take place in either the morning or in the late afternoon, allowing time for the multiple of opportunities for exploring the Valley, either walking, cycling or horseback riding.

Start Dates: Classes at the Spanish language school start EVERY MONDAY throughout the year. The only exception to this occurs when a holiday falls on a holiday.
