Spanish Language programs overview

The Spanish language programs offered by Spanish Abroad, Inc. are designed to enable you to speak Spanish as rapidly as possible. At our various Spanish language schools, you will have the opportunity to choose from small classes, individual instruction, or a combination of both options. At some of our Spanish language schools, specialized programs are available for doctors, nurses, lawyers, business people, MBA's, etc.

In the classroom, teaching techniques will focus on the communicative approach to learning Spanish. From day one you will begin working on improving your conversational skills. Generally speaking, the process for novices begins by covering basic topics such as who you are, where do you live, etc. As students become more proficient in Spanish, topics may range from economics to politics. As you explore new topics, you will find yourself quickly learning new vocabulary and grammar, and how to effectively use them. In a very short period of time you will find that you will be able to effectively communicate in Spanish!

Where can you find our Spanish language programs?

Today Spanish Abroad, Inc. offers Spanish language programs with language schools located throughout Latin America & Spain. We offer a wide selection of schools and locations so you the client have the opportunity to find the perfect place to study Spanish. To read about any of the schools, the countries and/or cities in which they are located, please use the drop down menu located towards the top of each webpage. The drop down menu is titled “Program Locations”.

Use the menu to select a country where you might want to study Spanish. Once you select that country, you will be taken to a page that provides a nice overview of the country. To the top right of that page you will see a list of cities located within that country. Click on one of those cities to read more about the Spanish program we have located in that area. Once you click on a city you will have the chance to read about the school and all that it has to offer. To the right, you will find links to other cities & schools within that country. On the far right column you will also find more in-depth information about the school and the city in which it is located.

How do we choose our Spanish language schools?

Spanish Abroad, Inc. looks for countries, or areas within countries, that will be of interest to our Spanish language students. We feel that an important part of any Spanish language or study abroad program includes an opportunity for students to visit interesting sites within the country where they have chosen to study.

Once Spanish Abroad, Inc. has identified an area of interest, we look to see if there are any Spanish language schools located there. If any Spanish language schools are found, we contact the school to request as much information as possible. Following this, the next step is a visit to the Spanish language school(s) in question.

What does Spanish Abroad, Inc. look for in a good Spanish language school?

1. Good facilities. We want to work with Spanish language schools that have nice buildings where students will feel comfortable and not be distracted by things occurring inside or outside the school.

2. Great Spanish teachers. We look for Spanish language schools that have qualified, experienced language teachers. This is very important to ensure that your study abroad experience will be productive.

3. A helpful and knowledgeable staff. They should be able to help you with any kind of question or need that may arise during your Spanish language (study abroad) program.

4. Spanish language schools that offer either small group programs or individual instruction. To effectively learn Spanish, you will need personalized attention. Studying Spanish in small groups and/or private instruction will guarantee this.

5. Good accommodations. After a hard day at school and/or traveling, you need a comfortable place to rest your head at night. Equally important is to have another setting in which to practice Spanish. For those Spanish language schools that offer apartments, etc. we take a very close look at those as well to make sure that those students staying there will be comfortable.
