Spanish semester programs in Granada, Spain


SEMESTER COURSES

The University of Granada offers classes for both Intermediate and Advanced students. Intermediate students are eligible to enroll in the Spanish Language and Culture Courses. Advanced Students are able to enroll in the Hispanic Studies Course. The programs have the same dates. Both programs do require mandatory language classes as noted in the respective tables.

Spanish Language and Culture

Students at the UniversityThe Spanish Language and Culture classes are offered for students that have a good grasp of the skills and content of the Intermediate-A course at the University of Granada. Students can enroll in a maximum of 5 classes (including the mandatory language course listed below ) per semester. Each course includes 40 hours of classroom contact, for a total of 200 contact hours per semester. The number of hours per week varies depending on the semester (in the first semester the courses are 4 hours per week and the second semester they are 3 hours per week). If you require 45 contact hours, you will have the possibility to participate in a lecture program that will take place on Friday mornings.

First semester: Jan 8 to May 20, 2008

Hispanic Studies

Classroom at the universityStudents that have a high level of Spanish are able to enroll in courses focusing on Spanish language and culture. The student must have a good grasp of the skills and content covered in the Advanced-A language course. If you have previously completed the Spanish Language and Culture course at the University of Granada you are also eligible for the Hispanic Studies Course. It is highly recommended to enroll in a Spanish language course prior to taking the courses on culture. The courses are taught by specialists from the University of Granada.
