| San
Sebastian is a relatively small city so reliance on public transportation
is not very heavy and walking is the best way to explore the city
anyway. But if one doesn't want to expend any energy walking,
here are the best ways to get around.
Taxi
Taxis
are definitely the quickest and most efficient way to travel in
town. All authorized taxis clearly display the status of their
public service. There is a fixed price for beginning service plus
a fee depending on the time and the area covered, which are regulated
by publicly displayed tariffs. All taxis have a taximeter, which
indicates the amount due.
Bus
City
Buses are readily available in many parts of the city or downtown
area and normally cost less than 1€ for a one-way ticket.
Buses are clean, efficient, and the route systems are quite extensive.
Train
Travel
by train and see a part of Spain you always wanted to visit. The
train can transport you to any major city in Spain and France.
