The
best way to get to Vejer is to take the bus from one of the
following major cities near Vejer. One can fly into Seville,
Malaga, Cadiz, and Jerez and then take the bus from there to
Vejer de la Frontera. If one is arriving by plane to Madrid
the best way to get to Vejer is to take the high-speed train
(AVE) to Seville and then the bus from Seville to Vejer.
From Seville, 'Estación
del Prado' ask for buses to La Barca de Vejer. At La Barca take
the taxi (2mins.) or walk (15mins.) up the old donkey track (ask
for 'La Cuesta de la Barca'). If you take the bus to 'Vejer' the
journey is a lot slower. (4 busses into Vejer per day).
Cadiz:
Eight busses per day. App 1 hour
Jerez:
Four busses per day into Vejer (La Barca) app. 1hr
Malaga:
Three busses per day to Vejer (La Barca) app. 3.5hrs
Algecires:
Nine per day (La Barca) app. 1 hour

Transportation
Around Vejer
Vejer is such a small city with
winding narrow hilly streets that transportation is best done
on foot. Outside of the city to the nearby beaches and sights
busses and cabs are the best bet. For those wanting a little extra
exercise renting a bike is another option. |
