The school is situated in the foothills that surround Marbella. The location has been developed into one of the most privileged overlooks in the area! The coastline of Morocco is visible on the horizon as it is only a few miles across the straits. The finca, or school grounds, are in one of the most exclusive suburbs of the city…Elvira…and include some 30,000 square meters. All in all an ideal site to enjoy a summer vacation. Only 12 km from the center of Marbella and facing the famous Hotel Don Carlos. The school is only 4 km from the beaches and students will visit three times during each two-week camp session via private bus services.

The principal building includes the residence, the dining room, conference room, canteen, infirmary and common areas. The classrooms are situated in a building adjacent to the sports facilities. Sports facilities include a multi-use facility with an indoor/outdoor pool and extensive gardens. Also included are a soccer field, 2 volleyball courts, a basketball court and a handball court.

Students will receive a total of 20 Spanish lessons per week divided into four lessons per day from Monday to Friday. Each lesson lasts 45 minutes. Might there be a trip/special activity planned during a weekday, classes for that day will be given on the weekend. At the end of the program, and upon its successful completion, students will be given a certificate and a progress report.

Accommodation

Students will be lodged at the school's dormitory. All students will be placed with other nationalities when possible within their own age group so that the common language is Spanish. Moreover, they will be divided according to their gender. Bedrooms have a capacity of four to five students, with their own toilet and shower. The bedrooms for the youngest students have a capacity of 6 to 10 with shared showers and toilets. Students will be placed according to age and sex. A counselor will also sleep in the rooms with students. Linen will be provided at the camp but not bath towels.

Arriving in Marbella

The school offers airport pickup from both Malaga and Madrid (additional expense for both locations). Malaga is about 30 minutes by car from Marbella. Group transportation is provided from Madrid to Marbella on July 3, July 17, July 31, and August 14. Return transportation in a group to Madrid from Marbella is provided on July 16, July 30, August 14, and August 28. Individual transportation can also be arranged from Malaga and individual transportation is provided from Madrid(additional expense).

Supervision

The counselors, Camp Coordinators and the Camp Directors who supervise students are Spaniards experienced in their fields who the school selects and motivates to return year after year. They are selected for their dedication and attention to our students. Students receive maximum amount of supervision and will be with camp personnel at all times. Excursions and Special TripsStudents will take part in one full day trip and two half day excursions every two weeks to nearby sites of special interest: Nerja Caves, Sevilla, Marbella city, Mijas, Granada, an amusement water park, Banús Yatch Harbor, etc.
