San Jose Summer Camp
 Our San Jose Summer Camp in Costa Rica is an all inclusive program that includes Spanish classes and host family accommodations with 3 meals per day. Activities and Excursiosn are scheduled through out the week and on weekends respectively. Students will receive 4 hours per day of Spanish courses in a full immersion environment. The only item that must be purchased seperately is the flight to/from San Jose.
The summer camp takes place in Santo Domingo de Heredia which is a suburb located 15 minutes from downtown San Jose. The quaint environment provides for a safe environment for teens to walk to and from school each day. The students will take part in activities throughout the San Jose metropolitan area and will have excursions schedule in different parts of the country on the weekend.
Costa Rica is the perfect host country for a teen Summer Camp due to its relative safety in the world. The country plays a great host to many nature based activities which enthuse students to come back year after year. Costa Rican Spanish is easy to understand, as the locals speak clearly with a moderate speed, which provides for easier comprehension for practice in everyday scenarios.
The majority of our teens attend the Summer Camp in Costa Rica alone, but they are free to travel with friends and stay at the same host family if they wish to do so. Since most teens come alone, it is easy to meet new friends since they are all introduced to a new situation where they don't know each other.
Accommodations in San Jose
 San Jose host family accommodations through the summer camp include breakfast, lunch, and dinner3 meals per day with specially
selected families. All Host families for the Summer camp are within walking distance from the main campus. The camp also includes airport transfer on arrival
and departure by the host family. Students can choose from
either being placed with another student or being placed by themselves.
On weekend tours, students will stay in hotels and share rooms
with students of the same gender. In order to provide the utmost safety, students are NOT permitted to
go out at night by themselves after 10 PM.

Start Dates
The program runs from June
14 - July 25th. Students can begin classes any Monday.
Arrival in Costa Rica
Students will arrive in San
Jose where their host family will meet them and
accompany them to their home.
Supervision
The Summer camp in Costa Rica does not provide 24 hour supervision. Teens are expected to be on their best behavior and must be mature for their age in order to be able to handle themselves in a manner that keeps them safe throughout their stay in San Jose. It is the legal guardian’s responsibility
to determine if his/her child has the maturity level and independence
required for this program. Students will be supervised while at school, at the host family, and during activites or excursions. There are times such as walking to/from school or visiting with friends during breaks in the program that they will not be supervised.
