SPANISH PROGRAM: Vejer
(Ages 14-17)

The Spanish language school in Vejer, Spain is small and personal, located in a very special environment. The Spanish language school is ideal for high school students who want to experience the Spanish way of life in very unique surroundings.

The teen Summer Spanish program in Vejer offers Spanish language courses that emphasize the high school student's ability to communicate in Spanish. The goal of the Spanish school in Vejer, Spain is to help the student intensively develop their linguistic skills. While the reading and writing aspect is covered the main emphasis is working on a students speaking abilities.

This summer Spanish course takes place in a separate building and is designed for 14 to 17 year old high school students. It offers them the chance to study Spanish during the summer in a safe environment near some of Spain’s most beautiful beaches.

Students take Spanish courses in the mornings followed by a varied program of activities in the afternoon which include sports, parties, visits to places of local interest, the beach and a full day excursion on Saturdays. Teen accommodations are full-board with Spanish host families in Vejer. Airport transfers from Seville, Jerez, and Malaga airport may be shared at reduced rates.

Summer Teen Program Accommodations include 3 meals per day with a specially selected Spanish family for high school students in double rooms.

Teen Summer Program Start Dates

The Teen Summer Program will be open June 14 - August 27. Non-Beginners can start on any Monday. Complete beginners must start on the following dates.

Arriving in Vejer for the Teen Summer Program

Airport transfer from Malaga, Jerez, or Sevilla can be provided at and additional cost (Jerez is approximately $100, Sevilla is approximately US$185 one way; Malaga is approximately US$215, one way.)

High School Student Supervision

The Teen Spanish program in Vejer provides a moderate amount of supervision for high school students. There will be times when high school students are NOT supervised by members of the staff at the school. Students attending the program in Vejer are expected to be mature and responsible enough to be able to handle themselves appropriately in a foreign country. Spanish Students are expected to abide by the Spanish language school's rules and any violations will result in immediate dismissal from the Teen Summer program. Spanish students do stay with local host families which provides a moderate amount of supervision.

Teen Program Excursions

High School students are provided with one half day and one full day excursion per week to Cadiz, Tarifa and Bolonia, Sevilla or Cordoba. Horse riding and tennis courses optional.
