Puerto Rico is world famous
for not only the quality, but the quantity of its beaches. Great
beaches are located all around the island. Some areas cater towards
surfers, while others are great for swimming or snorkeling. As
you travel around Puerto Rico and discover its stunning beaches
you will be amazed at all the great things you can see and do!

Surfing:
Surfing is a very popular sport
in Puerto Rico, with people coming from all over the world to
take advantage of its nice waves. The best surfing is found along
the northwestern region of Puerto Rico, with Rincon being a popular
center. Surfing in this area tends to be at its best between the
months of October and April.
Snorkeling & Diving:
Puerto
Rico offers divers and snorkelers some great places to visit.
A great place to for beginners to get a feel for the waters is
in the Condado Lagoon in San Juan. In this area there are a number
of nearby reefs full of beautiful corals and colorful fish.
Heading to the east of Puerto
Rica is the Fajardo Area and Palominitos Island. The waters are
crystal clear and the marine life is abundant. Commonly seen marine
life include squid, octoopus, snapper, crustaceans, seahorses,
and much more!
Boating:
The waters in and around Puerto
Rico are a boaters paradise. The waters are warm and crystal clear.
Boat tours are available in many parts of Puerto Rico. It is also
possible to rent powerboats, sailboats, kayaks, and paddleboats.
For those interesting in heading
further out to sea, Puerto Rica is a popular destination to go
fishing for sailfish, tuna, and marlin to name just a few.
Golf:
Golf has always been a popular
past time, and Puerto Rico is home to some great courses. It is
quite the experience to head down to the tropics to enjoy some
great weather will spending the day out on the course. Courses
are springing up all over the island, with some of the best names
in the game designing the courses.
Cycling & Hiking:
Biking or hiking is one of
the best way to explore Puerto Rico. The countryside offers some
of the most amazing scenery found anywhere. There are numerous
companies offering hiking or biking tours. One of the best places
to go hiking is in the El Yunque rainforest area.
Fishing:
The fishing in the waters off
Puerto Rica are world class. Some of the more common species are
dorado marlin, tuna, wahoo, and sailfish. It is fairly easy to
charter a boat for a great fishing adventure. Certain times of
the year Puerto Rico hold some great tournaments.
