SPORTS: SAN SEBASTIAN
 San
Sebastian has good opportunities to practice several types of
sports. Soccer is big in Spain and in San Sebastian its possible
to watch top soccer clubs in action and also play with local teams.
World class beaches offer an array of water sport including surfing
and Canoeing. Beautiful landscape and great climate offer opportunities
like horse riding, rockclimbing and golf.
Surfing and Sea Activities
World
class beaches like Ondarreta Beach, La Zurriola Beach and La Conchaare
have excellent conditins for surfing. Great spots for scuba diving
and snorkeling include the capes of Matxitxako, Villano and Ogono
and the Gipuzkoa and Igeldo areas. There are several schools where
surfing and diving lessons are given.
Soccer
Soccer is of course one of
the most popular sports in Spain and definitely in San Sebastian
as well. The Real Sociedad de Futbol is the cities top soccer
club and it plays in the First division with the world renowned
Real Madrid and Barcelona teams.
