El Rincon de Admuz
This region forms an island surrounded by Aragón
and Castilla-La Mancha, separated from the mainland by about 7
miles. The territory is formed by the valleys of the rivers Ebrón
and Boilgues. In the mountain range of Tortajada is a forest and
within the long valley of the Turia are plantations home to the
famous 'esperiega' apples. The location is great for trekking,
hunting and fishing in summer.
Sagunto
Sagunto is a small town about 15 miles north
of Valencia. The region was home to a thriving community as early
as the 5th century. The town has miles of sandy coastline with
palm trees. The Plaza Mayor is the commercial hub of the region.
The Church of Santa Maria built in Gothic style is a part of the
square. Around town are other pieces of interesting architecture
including the church of el Salvador, the town Hall with its neo
classical facade, a roman theater, a mediaeval castle, and impressive
palaces and several plazas.
Cullera
It is a port on the eastern coast of Spain separated
from the sea by a string of dunes and pine groves. The town contains
the ruins of a Moorish citadel, several convents, churches and
a hospital. The main occupation is trading of goods from other
ports apart from farming and fishing.
La Safor Beaches
Located on the Mediterranean coast, it is a beautiful
region surrounded by fruit and vegetable plantations. In the Safor
valley you will find millions of orange trees with greenery during
all seasons. The higher altitude form the ranges of Mustalla,
Safor, Grossa and Aguilles. The Safor region is well known for
its marvelous beaches, wonderful coast views and its quiet life
style. The Mediterranean climate of this region with average temperatures
15° C in winter, 28° C in summer makes it the favorite
choice for all those who want to escape cold temperatures.
Los Serranos
The river Turia passes through the region of
Los Serranos irrigating the forests that grow in this region.
The region is a tourist attraction due to the beauty of its landscape,
health resorts, quality wines, the Roman Aqueduct, and many nature
related activities like trekking, mountaineering, climbing, canoeing,
cycling and horse riding.
