Most
major cities in Spain have ground transportation to Vejer. The
best way to get to Vejer is to fly into one of the cities close
to Vejer or take a high speed train to Seville, Malaga, Cadiz,
and Jerez and then take the bus from there to Vejer de la Frontera.
Vejer has two bus stops. One
is in town and the other is away from where you will need to take
a taxi to get to town. Make sure you know which stop the bus is
going to.
The closest train stations
are at Cadiz and San Fernando both about 25 miles away from Vejer.
Taxis are available from the station to town. In addition, airport
pickup is offered by the school at the following airport
cities: Jerez, Malaga, Seville, Cadiz, or Algeciras. Check with
Spanish Abroad, for prices.
Transportation within Vejer
is best done on foot or on a bike. Bike rentals are available
at various locations within the city. For locations outside the
city to the beaches or other sites bus services are available.
Taxis are also an option but as relatively more expensive.
