| The Spanish language school in
the city of Palma de Mallorca, Spain organizes a wide variety
of social activities for the Spanish immersion students. Such
exciting activities include:
- Welcome party for new arrivals
- Excursions to places of interest in and around Palma de Mallorca
- Spanish language films
- Open air concerts by popular local musicians
- Exchange nights at which students can meet and talk with other
students who are learning English or German at the school.
- Unforgettable nightlife activities
All these activities, including local transport
costs, are included in the course fee!
The program changes every couple of weeks so
that students staying for longer periods will not have to repeat
specific activities. All students are given a copy of the social
program planned for the following 2-week period when they arrive.
A typical 2-week social program may be as follows:
Week 1
- Spanish language school welcome party
- Guided tour of the Old Quarter and Cathedral
- Classic train ride to Sóler
- Full-day excursion to one of the island's beautiful beaches
Week 2
Transportation to Palma
A taxi from the airport to the city center costs
around € 12-15. The journey normally takes around 15-20 minutes.
There is also a bus service. Bus number 25 goes
from the airport to Paseo de Mallorca in the city centre. It leaves
every 15 minutes from 6:10am to 2:10pm. The journey takes around
30 minutes and it currently costs € 1.80.
The Spanish language school can also organize
airport transfers at a cost of € 80 each way for 1 person,
or € 50 each way for 2 or more people. Group rates are also
available.
