Playa de Palma
Playa
del Palma is a long continuous beach stretching to about three
miles long. It has a promenade for bikers and walkers. Lining
the promenade are several restaurants, bars, shops and smaller
refreshment stalls.
Cala Fornels
Cala
Fornels is a small stretch of fine sand about 100m long. This
beach is very popular and can get quite crowded in summer. The
low season is a nice time to visit and spend a few days.
Peguera
Peguera
(Pagera) has three beaches on the western side of the island with
several good resorts. The area is very popular and can get quite
busy. The beaches are well maintained and the water very clean.
There are plenty of restaurants, bars and souviner shops.
Cala Portals Vells
Cala
Portals Vells is a small beach accesible by road or boat. The
bars and restaurants on the beach are pretty expensive and the
beach can get crowded during the weekends.
Ciudad Jardin
Ciudad Jardin has a pretty large beach but not many hotels. It
is a residential beach with luxury apartments and a park. Surrounding
the beach are smaller villas that the inhabitants from Palma used
to use in the summer month to get away from the city.
Camp de Mar
Camp de Mar is a beautiful and well maintained beach. The water
is very clear and the beach is quite popular. The beach features
a golf course and has many quaint bars, restaurants and houses.
Port Adriano featuring a small beach and Can
Pastilla are other interesting beaches to visit.
