The Spanish language school in Tamarindo, Costa Rica is situated in one of the most beautiful beach towns in Latin America, far away from polluted and noisy cities. The Spanish language school is very centrally located in Playa Tamarindo and just minutes walking from the beach, bars, restaurants, and anything else you would want to do..

SA Tamarindo offers a variety of well thought out Spanish language programs. Students can take 4 or 6 lessons per day of Spanish language classes in a group setting. Futhermore it is possible to take private Spanish lessons if you prefer something more intensive or want to cover specialized topics.

A very popular program offered by this Spanish language school is the Spanish & Surf Program. This great program allows people to take Spanish classes in the morning and then get Surfing classes in the afternoons. Board rental is also included!

Space fills up rapidly for the surf program plan in advance.

In the area around the main building the school has small ranchos (open air dry palm huts) as additional outdoor classrooms. These outdoor areas are also used for activities or a place to relax and visit with our Spanish language students. Overall you will find SA Tamarindo to be a great place to learn Spanish while at the same time discovering one of the most beautiful locations in Costa Rica.

At this location, the students can enjoy observing many of the local wildlife including parrots, iguanas and other small animals. Sometimes you may even hear howler monkeys off in the distance.

Great Option: It is possible to combine classes at this locations with classes at our Heredia location. For instance: you can take classes for 2 weeks in Playa Tamarindo and then take another 2 weeks in Heredia. It is a great way to study Spanish in two great locations in Costa Rica.

Standard Group classes: 4 lessons per day in class sizes of no more than 6 individuals. Average class size ranges from 4-6 students. During four lesson sessions (in the morning or in the afternoon), students participate actively in a small group environment. Each student is assured attention to his individual academic needs. Spanish & Surf classes: The Spanish portion of this program is identical to the Standard Group classes. The difference is that you will also get surf classes as well. During the first 2 weeks of the program you will receive 6 hours of surf instruction. Additionally you will get surf board rental during the entire 2 weeks. If you want to do 3 or 4 weeks, you will get surf board rental and one surf trip each week (week 3 and 4). A great option for those who want to learn Spanish and Surf! Find out more here!

Intensive Group classes: The perfect Spanish program for someone who prefers a more intensive course. The format is the same as the Standard Program. The difference is that under this option you will receive an additional 2 hours per day of instruction in the afternoon.

Combined 6 classes: For a very intensive Spanish language program, the Combined 6 options is an excellent choice. With this Spanish course option you will take 4 lessons of group instruction in the mornings followed by 2 lessons of individual instruction in the afternoons.

Private Classes (4 lessons Per Day): If you are looking for an intensive program or need specialized instruction, then the private class option is for you. One-on-one instruction is designed especially for people who want to progress at their own pace, work on specific vocabulary, have special needs or who have limited time available.

• Private room with a local host family.
• 2 meals per day with host family.
• Laundry service with host family.
• Residence option at the school. You will share an apartment with other students studying Spanish at the school. VERY POPULAR
• The residence has air conditioning

Start Dates: Classes start every Monday throughout the year. The only exception to this occurs when a holiday falls on a Monday.
