Spanish Abroad, Inc. recognizes the fact that young people are also interested in studying abroad. We currently offer Teen Spanish programs in Costa Rica, Mexico, and Spain. The table below gives general information about the Spanish programs based on age, level of supervision, accommodation options, and the dates that are available in 2008 for high school students and teens.

Supervision:

The Spanish programs differ in their level of Supervision. A Maximum level of supervision indicates that the students are supervised 100% of the time. They have a Spanish camp counselor that will be with them during the day as well as in the evening times. The counselor will always be with the student. A Moderate level of supervision indicates that the student will be expected to act maturely and responsibly as there will be times when they are NOT supervised (walking to class, shopping, on excursions, etc.) It is important that no matter which program the student enrolls in they are all expected to abide by rules set forth by both Spanish Abroad, Inc. and the individual Spanish language schools.

Accommodations:

Most of our Spanish programs for teens offer host family accommodations with meals provided as indicated. Some of our programs offer a school residence. The bedrooms in the residence are all doubles or singles and are furnished with beds, study desks, a wardrobe and shelves for each student. A washstand is located in each room and shared bathroom/showers are distributed throughout the two floors of the residential zone of the building.

Adult Programs:

Most of our Teen Spanish programs also have an adult program onsite so it is possible for parents or other relatives to attend Spanish courses at the same school as the teen. Please view the adult Spanish programs offered in Costa Rica, Mexico, and Spain through our adult section.
